
Tragedy struck at the corner of NW 4th and Kentucky Ave last Friday when Leopoldo Luna was shot and killed, marking the city's 77th homicide of 2024. According to a bulletin from the City of Oklahoma City’s official news site, the incident occurred at approximately 6:28 PM, whereupon responding officers found Luna, a Hispanic male born on May 14, 1993, dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.
The bulletin detailed that an argument reportedly escalated to gunfire, resulting in Luna's untimely demise, although the circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been fully disclosed, Authorities have not yet released information on suspects or motive, and the investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue piecing together the events that unfolded that evening.
