Oklahoma City has seen the grand opening of the largest OnCue travel center yet, situated at 3850 South Prospect Ave. With hopes to bolster convenience and cater to the needs of travelers, the new store introduces an expansive layout designed to enhance the customer experience. Boasting 31 fueling stations, this addition to the city's infrastructure aims to streamline stops for gas, meals, and essentials, according to CSNews.
According to a statement from Laura Aufleger, president of OnCue, "We're thrilled to open another OnCue travel center in Oklahoma City," emphasizing the design's customer-centric approach. The forecourt can accommodate up to 24 vehicles in the front and seven in the back, providing Top Tier fuel. The site also includes a drive-through window, simplifying quick purchases without the need for customers to leave their cars, as reported by CSNEws.
In a competitive effort to expand its foothold, OnCue plans to continue its growth in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, with several more locations expected to surface through 2025. The store at I-35 and Grand encompasses 11,174 square feet of space filled with amenities intended to cater to a variety of customer needs, from grab-and-go hot dogs to a full-service kitchen.
The convenience factor is further elevated with self-checkout kiosks, lottery kiosks, and an extended coffee bar featuring a new Trecca Cold Brew and Trecca Frozen Cold Brew dispensers which purvey, a rich 100% Arabica coffee with an array of flavors. This location also showcases OnCue's new line of refreshers, lightly caffeinated fruit-flavored beverages that come in several flavors such as raspberry and peach mango, as per OKC FOX.
Joining the likes of other regional convenience stores like Stinker Stores and Rutter’s, this expansion by OnCue reflects a broader trend where convenience retailers are increasingly focusing on providing comprehensive foodservice options. The company's made-to-order foodservice program, The Grill, features at 34 of OnCue's 71 locations and offers a variety of menu items including breakfast tacos, sandwiches, and pizza, as told by CStore Dive.
The OnCue chain, headquartered in Stillwater, Oklahoma, operates convenience stores across Oklahoma and Texas and employs approximately 1,700 team members, as per CSNews.
