An RV parked within the Seville Mobile Home Park in Hallandale Beach was the scene of a tragic fire today, where one person was killed as the blaze took hold. Local 10 News reported that the fire began around 12:30 a.m. at 513 NE Fourth Ave., engulfing the vehicle in flames.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael Kane detailed that upon their arrival, firefighters found the RV fully engulfed, with heavy smoke visible. "Firefighters aggressively fought back fierce flames bringing the fire under control within 15 minutes and fully extinguishing it within 20 minutes," Kane said in an email to Local 10 News. Their efforts stopped the fire from spreading to nearby homes, preventing further damage and potential loss.

In a similarly devastating event, a fire in another part of the Seville Mobile Home Park claimed the life of an individual in a mobile home. According to NBC Miami, firefighters arrived to find the mobile home "fully engulfed in flames, with heavy smoke and fire visible." The intensity of the fire was so great that it affected the initial identification of the victim.

"Due to the intensity of the fire, the age and gender of the victim have not yet been determined," a statement by the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said. Neighbors were understandably shocked by the blaze, with one local resident, Shanna Whitney, recounting a "Big explosion. It was up in smoke. The trailer's completely gone," she told NBC Miami. "I was scared. I was hoping that nobody was inside, but unfortunately there was somebody. Just really sad morning."

The cause of each fire is now under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
