
Wilmington Police have taken a Philadelphia man into custody on drug charges, rounding out an investigative push into the 300 block of West 7th Street. The police force's Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division initiated the probe back in November and made their move on Wednesday.
Jeffrey Rose, 48, was apprehended at approximately 9:02 a.m. during a search and seizure operation. The officers were able to successfully recover a significant stash including 4,555 grams of marijuana, THC products, and various drug paraphernalia, reported by the issuing police department.
Charges against Rose are severe, featuring Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute in Tier 2 Quantity, Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The legal proceedings began swiftly with an arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas.
Following his court appearance, Rose has been committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. There he is currently awaiting to further process through the justice system. The Wilmington Police have not released additional details on either the investigation or any wider implications the arrest might have on drug activities in the region.
