Last Friday, the streets of Tiburon witnessed a swift response from local law enforcement following a shoplifting incident at the Nugget Market. A vigilant employee observed a 33-year-old woman from Pittsburgh, California, attempting to leave the store with unpaid bottles of alcohol and alerted the authorities, setting in motion the recovery of the stolen goods, as reported by the Tiburon Police Department.
It was the attentiveness of the Nugget Market staff, providing a detailed description of both the perpetrator and her silver getaway vehicle, enabling the Tiburon Police to act immediately. A sheriff's deputy located and stopped the suspect's car. The suspect was positively identified at the scene by the market employee, who had confronted her moments earlier in the parking lot after she returned a few of the bottles she had originally taken. Still, the remaining bottles of alcohol, along with additional bottles and beauty products suspected of being taken from other local stores, were discovered inside her vehicle when they were recovered.
These items, believed to be stolen, were confiscated by police as evidence.
