In a chilling turn of events, the Harvard Street in Pittsfield was disrupted by violence, resulting in two residents sustaining injuries from a stabbing. The incident occurred shortly after midnight last Wednesday, according to the Pittsfield Police Department (PPD) on Facebook, who promptly responded to the scene after reports of an altercation.
Following their investigation, police arrested 32-year-old Jacob Frusciente, who is charged with one count of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and one count of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. The victims, a male and female, both from Pittsfield were treated at Berkshire Medical Center, where they are expected to recover, the male victim, however sustained more serious wounds.
Frusciente, who was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on the following day, Thursday, is reported to have been acquainted with the victims. The nature of their relationship has not been detailed in the reports made available.
