A second fatality has been reported following a collision that occurred in late November on Northeast Lombard Street in Portland's Woodlawn Neighborhood.
According to an update from the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), Patricia J. Esler, aged 75, succumbed to her injuries last Saturday after being involved in a two-vehicle crash that took place on November 28, where she was the front passenger of a Honda HR-V struck in a head-on collision by a Honda Accord, the PPB has notified Esler's family of her death, and additional details about the incident will be disclosed when deemed appropriate.
The initial crash claimed the life of backseat passenger Andrea J. Doering, 46, at the scene, and investigations at that time had implied that the driver of the Accord, who is currently seriously injured and hospitalized, was responsible for crossing into oncoming traffic while under the influence of alcohol, with criminal charges against him anticipated.
