Portland police have arrested 37-year-old Natasha V. Molett on multiple charges, including attempted murder, following a recent shooting incident in the city. Molett, a Portland resident, now faces charges of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon after being booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.
The investigation led detectives from the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) to an apartment where a handgun was recovered, believed to be involved in the crime. The Portland Police Bureau shared an image of the seized firearm, which is a semiautomatic with a turquoise frame and black slide, displayed on a table next to some clothing.
Following the arrest, the victim of the shooting is reportedly recuperating in a hospital and is expected to survive.
