Community spirit shines as the Potter's House Church of Prescott steps up with a significant donation to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO). In an act of appreciation and support, the Associate Pastor Jesse Morales handed a $5,000 check to Sheriff David Rhodes, as reported by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. This contribution is earmarked for the YCSO Employee Fund, aimed at assisting sheriff's office staff and their families during times of need.
During the presentation, made earlier this week, Pastor Morales underscored the congregation's recognition of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officials. In doing so, the fund will bolster resources outside the realm of YCSO's annual budget. According to the official release, Sheriff Rhodes expressed profound gratitude for the church's generosity. The money will be instrumental in mitigating expenses that may unexpectedly burden his employees and their kin.
Aside from the Employee Fund, YCSO maintains several other programs reliant on public donations. Among these are the Benevolence Fund, which supports families in case a deputy is harmed or loses their life in the line of duty, the Cadet Program designed for young individuals aspiring to enter law enforcement, and the Youth Fund focusing on programs to help youngsters develop into responsible citizens. Those wishing to contribute to the sheriff's office can do so by visiting their website. As detailed on the webpage, interested individuals should click on "Donate to YCSO" after navigating through "I Want To" and "I Want Information" sections, or they may alternatively reach out via a call to (928) 554-8704.
