The Reading Police Department is turning to the community for assistance in identifying suspects linked to a recent string of vehicle break-ins. According to a post on the department's official Facebook page, officers responded to reports of a break-and-enter incident on Mark Avenue in the early morning of November 30.
Upon arrival, police officers discovered two individuals allegedly involved in the vehicle break-in, along with a third individual driving the getaway vehicle. The suspects made a quick escape before officers could intervene. In their pursuit, the police encountered a Porsche Cayenne filled with individuals matching the suspects' descriptions. Notably, this car had been reported as stolen from Weston. The officers made an attempt to stop the vehicle, only to have the suspects engage swiftly to flee the scene. The police chase was eventually called off when speeds escalated to unsafe levels, with the suspect vehicle last sighted entering Route 93 south.
As the investigation continues, the Reading Police Department is actively seeking tips and information from the public. Potential witnesses or anyone with knowledge related to the incident is asked to reach out to the department directly at 781-944-1212. The Facebook post includes images of the suspects in hopes that community members may be able to provide crucial identification.
