Charlotte residents were recently asked to rally around in the search for one of their own — 28-year-old Judith Westby, whose absence rippled concern through the community. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department had reached out to the public for assistance, as Mrs. Westby was last seen on November 30. According to the official news release by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, she was spotted around 1:00 p.m. near Tyvola Road and South Tryon Street, wearing just a t-shirt and jeans in what could be considered an unseasonably cool fall day.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Missing Person Unit had issued a report (2024-1201-1040-00) on the matter and encouraged anyone with knowledge about Mrs. Westby's whereabouts to come forward and contact authorities.
Fortunately, the story has seen a resolution that eludes so many who find themselves in similar plights. Mrs. Westby has been located and returned to the fold of her family unharmed. The update, void of details, nevertheless brings closure.
