A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a Robertsville man and left a woman seriously injured near St. Clair on Sunday night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred on Mill Hill Road, east of Bethel Church Road, when a Mazda 6, driven too fast on the wet and curved roadway, crashed shortly after 11:10 p.m, as per FOX2Now.
Both occupants of the vehicle, identified only as residents of Robertsville, were found without their seatbelts fastened at the time of the incident. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 20-year-old woman, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for treatment, as noted in a report KSDK.
The vehicle involved in the crash was completely damaged and required towing by Vogelgesang’s Towing. Authorities from the Major Crash Investigation Unit along with additional officers were on scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal event. This information was detailed by KTTN.
