The City of Saint Paul has announced the cancellation of the upcoming Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) meeting, previously scheduled for December 23. Those interested in the proceedings of the BZA must now wait until the new year for the board to reconvene.
Any public comments intended for this now-canceled meeting should be submitted electronically to [email protected]. The BZA has stipulated that only comments and materials received by 2:00 p.m. on December 20, will be reviewed by the board. Submitted documents must include the sender's name and residential address to be entered into the public record. Luckily, having his morning coffee, an official reminded the public that any submissions past this deadline would not be considered.
As the next regularly scheduled meeting is set for January 6, 2025, this leaves a noticeable gap in the BZA's usual itinerary. Community members and applicants who typically attend the BZA meetings are encouraged to make note of this change to adjust their schedules and prepare for the January session.
The original announcement and other relevant documents can be accessed via the City of Saint Paul's official communication available here. The city has made provisions for genuine procrastinators, making available the BZA's agenda and future updates through this platform.
