Last Friday afternoon, the San Bruno Police Department successfully thwarted a vehicle theft, ending a pursuit between Millbrae and San Bruno using spike strips. According to a social media post by the San Bruno Police Department, the suspect attempted to flee on foot after deploying the strips, which successfully immobilized the stolen vehicle.
However, the collaboration between local law enforcement agencies ensured the suspect didn't get far. With the assistance of San Mateo County Sheriff's Office - Millbrae deputies, the stolen vehicle's driver was soon apprehended. Running through the suburban streets, the captured individuals found themselves in handcuffs.
The quick response and team effort of the San Bruno Police and their counterparts demonstrated a concerted effort to protect property and uphold the law. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was "taken into custody and booked into jail," read the report from the San Bruno Police Department.
