San Diego Bay is set to dazzle once again with the 54th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, embracing the theme "Peace on Earth." This festive event, scheduled yesterday and next Sunday, will draw over 100,000 spectators to its shimmering display.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. from Shelter Island, the parade will proceed past Harbor Island and Seaport Village, featuring nearly 80 boats decked out in holiday decor. Organizers expect the boats to reach the Embarcadero around 7:15 p.m., with each vessel embodying the holiday spirit and this year's theme.
According to FOX5 San Diego, the free event highlights San Diego's holiday traditions. Cesar Chavez Park, now in its sixth year as an extended viewing area, will offer another great spot for spectators to enjoy the procession before it turns toward Coronado.
The parade will conclude near the Ferry Landing on Coronado at approximately 7:45 p.m., with each boat offering its unique interpretation of "Peace on Earth," lighting up the bay in a breathtaking holiday display.
