San José has been rattled by a violent crime that took place on November 2, when an intruder broke into a home and carried out a robbery and assaults of an alarming nature. According to the San José Police Department (SJPD), the suspect, armed with a firearm, invaded an apartment on the 700 block of South Ninth Street, subjected three adults to a dreadful ordeal that included binding and assaulting the victims, as well as sexually assaulting the two female victims.
The perpetrator, after inflicting trauma and threatening lives, absconded with cash and personal items. A meticulous investigation by the SJPD Robbery Unit Detectives ensued, ultimately pinpointing Juan Jordan as the suspected assailant. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Jordan and a search warrant for his residence.
The investigation culminated last Tuesday when, with the backing of the SJPD Covert Response Unit, Jordan was apprehended within San José city limits. His arrest led to formal charges that included robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and sexual assault, with Jordan now detained in Santa Clara County Main Jail.
