Over the weekend, the city of Milton welcomed the Christmas season with open arms as Santa Claus joined local citizens for the annual Christmas in Crabapple event. According to the official city announcement, more than a thousand attendees gathered to celebrate the festive season, flanked by the festive sounds of the Cambridge High marching band and the sight of Santa arriving atop a Milton Fire truck.

Family-friendly activities were available throughout the day, drawing crowds to Broadwell Pavilion and Broadwell Road. Children enjoyed writing letters to Santa and taking photos with him. While munching on churros, they also participated in arts and crafts, including cookie decorating, face painting, and creating twisty balloon art.

Music served as a backdrop for the festivities, care of the Milton Arts Council's coordination. The high spirits were further lifted by performances from the Milton High chorus members and various singers from past "Milton Got Talent" contests, entertaining those present with classic Christmas carols and tunes.

As evening approached, attention shifted to the lighting of Milton's Christmas tree. Mayor Pro Tem Carol Cookerly took on the task, aided by several children who were as adorable as the occasion itself. As stated in a city press release, "Thank you to all the members of our awesome community for being part of this special celebration!"
