Early this morning in Carondelet, a 33-year-old man found himself the victim of a bold robbery while riding his bike. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that at approximately 1:00 a.m. in the 800 block of Koeln, the cyclist was intercepted by a black sedan. One individual from a group of three exited the vehicle and presented a firearm, demanding the man's money. The victim, having initially stated that he had no money to give, was then forcibly assaulted with the gun, leading him to hand over cash to the assailant.
Details provided by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department indicate that the suspects were quick to exit the scene, driving away in the same black sedan in which they arrived. The victim decided to refuse medical attention. The investigation into this crime is actively ongoing as police seek further information and leads.
