A robbery investigation is underway in St. Louis Place following an incident involving a juvenile, local law enforcement officials reported. The event occurred in the 1500 block of Cass at approximately 6:40 p.m. yesterday.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a 16-year-old male was allegedly assaulted by an unidentified assailant while he was with a "female friend" during a physical altercation between her and another female. The juvenile victim told police that the assailant ran up to them amidst the altercation and proceeded to attack him.
Further details provided by the victim state that the suspect brandished a firearm, pointed it at him and demanded all the belongings from his pockets. "The 16-year-old said he relinquished his phone and other property,” as detailed in the police report. After the incident, the male suspect and the two females involved in the initial dispute fled the scene.
The victim did not report any injuries and refused medical attention at the time of the event. As stated on the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department website, the investigation into the robbery is currently active.
