Authorities are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a woman linked to an assault at an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store on S. Broadway earlier this month. The incident, which occurred shortly before the store's closing time at approximately 8:45 p.m. on December 9, escalated from a routine notification of the store's imminent closing to an unexpected eruption of violence, according to a report by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD).
Based on the preliminary investigation by District 1 Detectives, the woman, after making a purchase, was conversing with a store clerk who informed her of the store's closing time. As the clocks ticked past the hour of closure, the clerk's request for the woman to exit the establishment sparked a confrontation. Knocking over a computer, the suspect then proceeded to allegedly strike the clerk in the face. Fled in an older model Nissan Sentra, police are now looking to find her.
