Early Sunday morning, St. Paul's Payne-Phalen neighborhood woke up to the sound of gunfire that left two people injured outside an ARCO gas station on Larpenteur Avenue East near 35E. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered one man with a gunshot wound to his back and another person inside a vehicle a block away, also suffering from a gunshot injury.
