
A hiker stranded on the steep slopes of Devil's Slide was rescued last Friday afternoon by a joint operation involving local emergency teams and a California Highway Patrol helicopter, according to SFGate.
The rescue occurred south of Pacifica, near the Tom Lantos Tunnel on State Highway 1. Emergency services, including Cal Fire, responded to the call shortly after 4 p.m. and reached the hiker without injury, as per KRON4.
The North County Fire Authority, Coastside Fire Protection District, and San Mateo County Fire Department worked together to ensure a quick response. Details about how the hiker became stranded have not been released.
