Yesterday afternoon, an unoccupied house in Southwest Miami-Dade became the scene of a fervent fire-fighting effort. According to WSVN, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the fire near Southwest 254th Street and South Dixie Highway after flames were reported by locals.
Cellphone footage obtained by bystanders captured the significant fire as it ripped through the structure, sending plumes of thick black smoke into the sky. Responding to the incident, firefighters successfully quelled the blaze, a task made slightly less perilous with the knowledge that the house was found empty at the time of the fire.
The aftermath of the conflagration was markedly visible, leaving behind a charred edifice punctuated by a large hole in the roof. This signified the ferocious nature of the intense flames that had once taken hold. As reported by Miami Daily Life, the fire left extensive damage to the property.
While the immediate threat was averted by the swift action of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units, the underlying cause of the fire remains shrouded in uncertainty, despite their efforts which contained the fire without further issues. An investigation has been underway to determine the incendiary's origin, but as yet, no official explanation has been given.
