The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Kentell Sims, a 34-year-old Greensburg man, on several charges including First Degree Rape, Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, and Sexual Battery, authorities reported. The charges stem from an incident earlier this month involving a teen. Despite being in communication with detectives, Sims has not turned himself in, as per the officials' statements.
According to a report by WDSU, Sheriff Gerald Sticker implored the community for assistance in locating Sims. Detectives, having been notified about the teen-involved crime, identified Sims as the prime suspect during their investigation. They have since made efforts to apprehend him, only to be met with his persistent refusal to surrender to law enforcement.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sims can directly contact the Juvenile Division of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office at 985-902-2031.
