The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is currently probing into an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of 22-year-old Rodolfo Daniel Lima in Cumberland County. As reported by WVLT, TBI stated that the incident took place early yesterday morning at a residence on Scott Creek Road in Crossville, following a gunshot report.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they came across Lima in the driveway holding a firearm. Despite repeated commands from the authorities for Lima to relinquish his weapon, he failed to comply, and instead opened fire towards the officers, as per TBI’s preliminary findings. One of the responding deputies felt compelled, to return fire resulting in Lima's fatality. Throughout the altercation, no officers sustained injuries.
