An 18-year-old was taken to the hospital after being shot and subsequently involved in a car crash Thursday night in Northeast Portland. KOIN reports that Portland police found the young man suffering from a gunshot wound near the intersection of Northeast 72nd Avenue and Northeast Prescott Street.
While detailed information has yet to be released, authorities are still piecing together the incident, which appears to have taken place near Cully Park. A suspect, currently at large, is believed to have a connection to an acquaintance of the victim. As KATU indicates, the police are working with the leads they have to track down the individual responsible for the shooting.
