A 16-year-old girl was found shot multiple times in Dutchtown last night, prompting an ongoing police investigation. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said she was discovered on the 4000 block of Pennsylvania just before 8:30 p.m. after a citizen called authorities.
She was found walking and stating she had been shot, which led to an emergency response by officers and EMS teams. The victim was rushed to a hospital where she has been listed as critical but stable, according to a statement on the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's website. The statement did not include any information about possible suspects or the circumstances that led to the shooting.
Officers are also investigating a "Shots Fired" call on the 3400 block of Meramec, which may be linked to the earlier shooting. A scene was found at that location, as per the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
