Tempe police have apprehended three men in connection with a shooting on Thanksgiving Day that resulted in the death of 24-year-old Anthony Carlos and left a woman critically injured. The incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. at an apartment complex located at 987 W. Washington Street, according to a statement from the Tempe Police Department.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Carlos deceased and a woman severely wounded. She was promptly transported to the hospital where she is currently listed in stable but critical condition, as detailed by the Tempe Police Department. Investigators spent the entire weekend collecting evidence and conducting interviews with over 30 people, finding nearly 30 bullet casings at the scene of the crime.
The intensive investigation led to the arrest of Miguel Rosas Galvan, Dennis Manuel Guillen, and Oscar Manuel Guillen on Sunday. The men face charges of conspiracy, first degree murder, and aggravated assault, as per the Tempe Police Department. Authorities have indicated that while the shooting was not related to domestic violence, the individuals involved were acquainted with one another.
