
Tragedy struck on Thanksgiving night as shots rang out in a Tempe apartment complex, leaving a man dead and a woman severely injured. FOX 10 Phoenix reported the incident occurred around the area of Washington Street and Center Parkway on November 28. Responding officers discovered a male and a female victim, both suffering from serious injuries. The man, identified as 24-year-old Anthony Carlos, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery.
Three days after this unfortunate event, Tempe Police made a significant break in the case. Arrests were made on Sunday, encapsulating three suspects: Miguel Rosas Galvan, Dennis Manuel Guillen, and Oscar Manuel Guillen. As ABC 15 details, the trio faces charges including first-degree murder and aggravated assault. The police clarified that the incident was not spawned from domestic violence, but it was one nonetheless steeped in familiarity, as victims and suspects were acquainted with each other.
Investigators at the scene collected nearly 30 bullet casings and more than 30 people have been interviewed in connection to the shooting. According to the Tempe Police Department's announcement on Monday, "All three men were charged with Conspiracy, First Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault." The department also highlighted the intricacy of the ongoing investigation, noting that there are still outstanding suspects.
