The spirit of giving is alive and well in Tolleson this holiday season as the Tolleson Police Department has once again rolled out its annual Christmas Toy Drive. Geared toward lifting the spirits and celebrating the youth, the department is actively calling on the community to contribute to this heartwarming cause. Contributions in the form of new, unwrapped toys are being accepted until the deadline next Thursday, so there's time for everyone to get involved.
Residents can quickly join the effort to ensure every child has a present to open by simply donating a toy at designated locations throughout the city. The drop-off points include the Tolleson Police Department itself, located at 8350 W. Van Buren St., and the Tolleson Civic Center at 9055 W. Van Buren St. As per a statement obtained from the city's announcement, to ensure that children aged 5 to 15 can experience the magic of the season, the department is specifically seeking unwrapped gifts suitable for this age range.
Every toy that is donated will find its way to a local family in need, as the Tolleson Police Department is committed to directly distribute these gifts within the community. This act of kindness, a small but mighty gesture, is set to bring a shining smile to many children's faces. According to the Tolleson Police Department's release, "Your donation will brighten the holidays for children in the Tolleson community, creating cherished memories for years to come."
