A fatal collision in Glendale last evening claimed the life of one person and left four others injured, including children. Reports from the Glendale Police Department, obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, indicate that the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 67th and Olive avenues. The police have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
According to the same report, one vehicle was occupied by a man and a woman, with the male pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman sustained life-threatening injuries. The other vehicle had an adult female and two minors under the age of 15, who all suffered non-life-threatening injuries but were still quickly transported to the hospital. Investigators have yet to fully piece together what led up to the event.
The specificity of the victims' conditions was shared by 12 News, detailing that all the injured parties were taken to local hospitals, though the full extent of injuries was not disclosed beyond the initial assessment. The closure of the intersection implicated a span of road from 67th Avenue between Butler Drive and Olive Avenue, as officials carried out their investigation into the late hours.
