A fatal fire in Colerain Township claimed the life of an individual and three cats, as reported by WLWT. The incident occurred within a mobile home on Stahley Drive yesterday afternoon.
Responders from the Colerain Township Fire Department were quickly on the scene, arriving by 4:05 p.m., just two minutes after the initial call received at 4:03 p.m. Despite the efforts to quickly extinguish the blaze, sadly, one person and three cats were unable to be saved and were discovered deceased inside the trailer. Scanner traffic suggested that the victim might have been a woman with limited mobility who used a walker. Local12 reports that the fire was confined to a single trailer, preventing the spread to adjacent homes.
The identity of the victim and the official cause of death had not yet been determined at the time of reporting. The Ohio Fire Marshal and the Colerain Township Fire Investigation Unit are conducting an ongoing investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire, as detailed by FOX19.
