Additionally, in a separate incident reported earlier by AZFamily, a person was killed after being hit by a car around 5 a.m. near 68th and Olive avenues; the police have confirmed the death at the scene, the driver in this case also stayed and cooperated with law enforcement officers while impairment and speed are not presently considered factors in the collision, Olive Avenue was closed for investigation but later reopened prior to the morning rush.
The names of the victims have not been disclosed in either case as investigations continue.
