Recent reports from the Alpine Sheriff's Station address the issue of threats made at a local elementary school, leading to an investigation that thankfully deemed these threats as unfounded. The Alpine Sheriff's Station posted on social media that the threats made at Shadow Hills Elementary School had been investigated thoroughly by their detectives on November 21 and found to be baseless.
Despite the findings, heightened precautions were still taken. Shadow Hills Elementary and the Alpine Union School District worked with law enforcement to ensure safety. "The safety of our school children is a priority for the Sheriff's Office," as per Hoodline's report, the deputies stated as they acted quickly upon any such reports. Deputies also engaged in additional patrols around the school's perimeter to guarantee security and provide peace of mind for parents and students following the incident.
According to Hoodline's report, the investigation began around 5:30 p.m. when school administrators identified and reported two students responsible for the threats. Swift actions followed, including contacting the parents involved and conducting home safety checks, leading to the suspension of the students as an interim safety measure.
The Sheriff's Office, maintaining strict confidentiality in matters concerning minors, refrained from publicly sharing any further details about the students. However, they assured the community that they remain committed to thoroughly investigating every threat. To foster a proactive safety culture, students are continually encouraged to report suspicious activities anonymously to the Student Speaking Out Hotline at (888) 580-8477 or by directly approaching School Resource Deputies.
