With the holiday season upon us, Union City has announced a scheduled closure of its administrative offices. In recognition of the Christmas holiday, these offices will cease operations early at 1 pm on Monday and will remain closed until December 30, when they will resume regular business hours. During the closure, residents will need to adjust how they handle routine matters, such as utility payments.
For those who wish to take care of their water utility bills over the holiday period, the city has offered an alternative. Payments can be securely dropped off in the night deposit box located in the City Hall's employee parking lot. The city, however, takes caution to remind that only checks or money orders should be placed in an envelope with an account number, and/or the pertaining bill, because no cash is accepted in the deposit box.
Moreover, for those looking to avoid even stepping out of their homes, online payments can be made with relative ease. As per the Union City public notice, residents of Union City can make their municipal court and water utility payments through the website at unioncitypayments.com. Telephone payments can also be made by calling 1-866-990-9566 for water utility or 1-844-225-0807 for municipal court needs.
