Heads up, Frisco drivers—your commute might hit a few slowdowns thanks to a handful of roadwork projects over the next few weeks. The city's website provided details on upcoming construction that could alter your daily routes or, at the very least, test your patience as you navigate through orange cones and detour signs.
Plantation Lane at Lebanon Rd. will be undergoing a new pavement replacement, starting with some fresh pavement. Existing projects on Cedar Ranch Rd. and Flat Top Ranch Rd. will continue toward completion, as will the Southbound Teel at Del Largo Way, according to information on the City of Frisco's official website.
Due to improvements, drivers should also brace themselves for daily lane closures at several high-volume intersections. These closures are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and include Coit Rd. and SH 121, Ohio Dr. and Hillcrest Rd., Stonebrook Pkwy. and FM 423. Work began on these intersections as early as May 2024, and with such key crossroads affected, it's probably a good idea to plan for extra travel time or seek alternative routes.
