WalletHub has ranked the most fun U.S. cities, looking at things like entertainment, nightlife, and costs. They evaluated 182 cities to help people decide where to visit or move. The report was shared by MSN.
A recent ranking by WalletHub placed major cities like Las Vegas, Orlando, and Miami at the top for fun, but also pointed out some cities that didn’t fare as well. In Arizona, Peoria and Gilbert ranked near the bottom, at 149 and 151, due to fewer entertainment options like Gilbert's Heritage District and Peoria's P83 area. The study, based on data from sources like the US Census Bureau and Yelp, also named Pearl City, Hawaii, as the least fun city. The ranking considered factors such as parks, nightlife, and other entertainment options to measure how much each city offers, according to Phoenix New Times.
"These cities are far more than tourist traps," said WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo, pointing out that they offer year-round appeal and are affordable for residents. The rankings show how different cities provide fun, whether through nightlife, parks, or budget-friendly options. For example, Phoenix ranked 27, while Tucson, Scottsdale, and Tempe ranked higher at 30, 42, and 58. Mesa, however, ranked 118, as stated by Phoenix New Times.
