A woman was shot on S Kingshighway in the Tower Grove South neighborhood yesterday afternoon during an altercation, according to local authorities. The incident occurred on the 3400 block around 2:30 p.m. when a 20-year-old woman was attacked after an argument with another individual, as per a report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

The altercation turned violent when a known man pursued the victim to her vehicle and discharged a firearm, striking her in the chest. The assailant was last seen driving away in a red Dodge Avenger. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, where they then transported the injured woman to an area hospital. She is currently listed as stable.
