The Worcester community is reeling from a fatal shooting that took place on Grand Street on Friday night. According to the Worcester Police Department, officers responded to a call around 10:10 p.m. and discovered an unresponsive male victim in the roadway. Tragically, the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
In the course of their initial investigation, authorities spoke with Givenchy Smith, a 24-year-old resident of South Lenox St. Smith was arrested on the charge of Armed Assault to Murder after officers developed probable cause linking him to the shooting.
