On Monday, a robbery was reported to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's District 3 after a minor traffic accident in the Tower Grove East neighborhood. A 60-year-old man became the victim of a theft following a collision where both vehicles’ side mirrors were clipped.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, after the accident, the situation escalated near South Compton and Gravois. The victim reported that the other driver, a man in a Chevy Silverado, approached aggressively and demanded payment for the damages. The victim claimed the suspect then displayed a firearm, forced his way into the car, and stole money from the center console before fleeing.
Fortunately, the 60-year-old man did not suffer any injuries. The police are actively investigating the robbery, and the search for the suspect is ongoing.
