The 2025 Mayor’s Youth Summit will be held on February 22 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Artists For Humanity EpiCenter in South Boston. After a successful 2024 event, the summit is expanding, offering 500 tickets for teens (14-19) and 100 for adults working with youth. The event will feature free food, giveaways, and live performances by local youth, with tickets available to celebrate Boston's young talent and culture, according to the City of Boston.
The Mayor’s Youth Summit returned last year after decades and will expand this year due to high demand. “We were so excited to bring back the Mayor’s Youth Summit last year for the first time in decades, and this year we will be expanding it based on high demand,” said Mayor Wu. The event will feature two awards: the Youth Leader Award for outstanding young leaders and the Youth Organization Award for groups supporting Boston’s youth, as stated by the City of Boston.
“This annual event is a testament to the power and potential of Boston's young people and I’m thrilled that we are able to expand our capacity this year,” said José F. Massó, Chief of Human Services. Mayor Wu and local partners agree on the importance of providing spaces for young people to collaborate. Anna Yu, Executive Director of Artists For Humanity, emphasized the need for continued investment in youth engagement and employment to support Boston’s growth and innovation, as reported by the City of Boston.
