Miami's latest weather forecast comes with a chill, as a sharp cold front has driven temperatures down significantly from typical averages for this time of year. According to the National Weather Service, today's weather in Miami is high, near 66 degrees, with sunny skies, while winds are expected to be in a northwest direction at around 11 mph. Gusts could reach as high as 20 mph.
South Florida residents will need to dress warmer as temperatures drop below the usual 76 degrees. The National Weather Service forecasts clear skies tonight with temperatures dropping to around 52 degrees and northwest winds at 8 mph. Inland areas may even see temperatures reach the 40s.
As NBC Miami reports, "The core of the coldest air will slide in Tuesday night and Wednesday night." The last time Miami experienced such chilly weather was in January of 2023, marking this as likely the coolest weather encountered by the city since then. The weather will begin to warm up slightly starting Thursday afternoon, suggesting a brief respite from the cold for South Floridians.
The remainder of the week's outlook, as provided by the National Weather Service, involves a gradual warming trend. The forecast for Wednesday includes mostly sunny conditions with highs nearing 72 degrees. By Friday, the high is expected to reach near 74 degrees under mostly sunny skies. A slight chance of showers is predicted for Saturday after 1 pm, but the day will otherwise be mostly sunny and warmer with highs around 80 degrees. Winds on Saturday might also pick up, gusting as high as 21 mph before cooling down again in the evening to about 55 degrees.
