Drivers on LA 900 in Concordia Parish will face continued alternating lane closures until February 7. The closures affect the stretch from LA 568 to US 65, according to the Department of Transportation and Development.
The closures initially set to end on December 31, 2024, have been extended first on Friday, and most recently to February 7, due to ongoing road repair and safety enhancements. Lane closures will occur during the daytime, with no night work scheduled. No detour is required as lanes will remain open, though traffic flow may be impacted. For updates, the Department of Transportation and Development provides information through its website, hotline, and the 511 traffic service.
The Department of Transportation and Development urges "patience" and reminds drivers to "please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment." The updates are part of ongoing roadway improvements.
