
In Coon Rapids, an opportunity for puzzle and game enthusiasts to refresh their collections without reaching into their wallets is fast approaching. The Coon Rapids Recycling Center has announced that it is organizing a puzzle and game swap event, scheduled to be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Coon Rapids Civic Center, this announcement comes via a recent social media post by the City of Coon Rapids, MN - Local Government.
Those wishing to swap their gently used items can start dropping them off from Jan. 21 through Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Inspections Department counter located within City Hall, with accessible entrance through the Police Department doors, and for those who can't make it on the weekdays, the items will also be accepted on the day of the swap, in exchange for items brought in, each person will receive one token, which can be redeemed for a new treasure on the day of the swap.
The swap is aimed at providing a sustainable way to deal with games and puzzles that have outlived their intrigue on the shelves of their current owners. An environmentally conscious move, it circumvents the waste that accompanies the disposal of these games and embraces the communal spirit of sharing.
