Two Massachusetts residents were arrested in a sting operation by the East Boston Drug Control Unit on Tuesday evening. Police seized a large amount of drugs during the operation, according to the Boston Police Department.

Jheury Rodriguez-Soriano, 32, of Lawrence, and Michael Bussey, 31, of Salisbury, are facing drug charges. The arrest followed a police observation of a vehicle at 944 Bennington Street around 5:30 PM. Officers noted the car’s movements and an interaction with an individual, which led them to suspect a drug transaction, as reported by the Boston Police Department.

Rodriguez-Soriano and Bussey were arrested after police found drugs on them. Bussey had Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine, and a search of Rodriguez-Soriano’s car uncovered more drugs, including 91 grams of Fentanyl and 93.6 grams of Crack Cocaine. They also found $753 in cash. Rodriguez-Soriano faces trafficking charges, while Bussey is charged with possession. Both are set for arraignment in East Boston District Court, as stated by the Boston Police Department.
