According to the National Weather Service (NWS), El Paso residents can look forward to a shift in their weather, literally starting the year off on a sunny note. The forecast for New Year's Day promises sunshine, with a high creeping up to a comfortable 64 degrees. As the day turns to night, the skies will remain mostly clear, with the temperature dropping to a low of around 38 degrees.
The serene weather gently ushers in the first week of 2025, offering a consistent pattern of sunny days and partly cloudy evenings, as per the National Weather Service. Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 67, the NWS report indicates. The calm conditions are set to persist through the weekend, with daytime highs gradually increasing to reach near 71 degrees on Saturday. During the nights, El Pasoans can expect the thermometer to hover in the low 40s, specifically around 44 degrees on Friday night, and spiking slightly to around 45 degrees Saturday night.
Into the new week, the forecast provided by NWS does not seem to deviate much from this pattern. Sunday continues with sunshine and highs around 64 degrees, with West northwest winds ranging from 8 to 10 mph adding a bit of a breeze to the air. The consistent clarity in the sky is only occasionally interrupted by partly cloudy nights, with temperatures maintaining a steady rhythm, dipping to 39 degrees on Sunday night.
As El Paso marches into the second week of January, Monday is expected to be sunny as well, offering a high near 61 degrees. Most notably, Tuesday witnesses a slight decline in temperature, still hanging on to a mostly sunny disposition but with a high peering around 55 degrees. "Partly cloudy, with a low around 36," the NWS report specifies for Monday night, clearly indicating that while the days remain sunlit, the evenings will consistently cool down to create crisp, chilly nights.
