The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near the intersection of Miramar Parkway and Southwest 148th Avenue. Emergency crews, including fire and police units, were on the scene around 4:45 p.m. Police remained on site for hours, redirecting traffic as the cleanup efforts unfolded.
The tanker truck lay on its side, igniting a rush of activity designed to manage the hazardous situation.
