
The Pullen Community Center in Raleigh is offering a free introductory program on honey bees and beekeeping. This event is designed for individuals interested in learning about the important role bees play in pollination and food production. It provides an opportunity for residents to gain knowledge about these vital insects.
According to the City of Raleigh, the program is family-friendly, aimed at participants aged 9 and up. Registration is required for those interested in attending. The event will feature a presentation, interactive stations, and a Q&A session at the end. Live bees will be safely contained within observation hives, eliminating any risk from free-flying bees.
The event is scheduled for February 22, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pullen Community Center. Interested individuals should register in advance to participate.
