The crash took place on Joe Battle Boulevard northbound, before Vista Del Sol Drive, prompting the closure of all lanes, as reported by KFOX-TV. The El Paso Police Department indicated that the accident happened before 4 a.m., but have not disclosed the reason behind the crash, or the identity of the deceased.
According to KVIA, the authorities received the call shortly before the aforementioned time; however, details surrounding the incident are still forthcoming. As investigators work to determine the specifics, traffic patterns in the area have been significantly disrupted, potentially affecting morning commutes.
KTSM reports that, according to fire dispatch, the crash might have involved more than one vehicle. There is also the possibility that the incident led to a person being ejected from a vehicle, although this has yet to be confirmed as part of the official narrative surrounding the accident.
