A tragic incident unfolded yesterday evening on Lamar Avenue near the intersection of I-240, when a two-vehicle crash claimed the life of one individual and left three others injured. The Memphis Police Department was alerted to the crash just before 8:50 p.m., as per reports from Action News 5.
The collision's aftermath was dire, police arrived to find one person had already succumbed to their wounds. Another two individuals were hastily transported to a local hospital with injuries described as critical, and, one more was treated for injuries deemed non-critical, as reported by FOX13 Memphis.
Amidst the flashing lights and the whir of sirens, the road became a nexus of activity as officers managed the scene and emergency medical personnel worked relentlessly. According to WREG News, police have requested that drivers steer clear of the area to ensure a smooth investigation and have not yet provided details as to what may have caused the collision.
